DIY Flower Bracelet

What You Need:

  • Masking Tape…Yup... That’s it!

Stick a piece of tape around your child’s wrist with the sticky side facing out, then take a walk around your yard, neighborhood, or a nearby park to collect small leaves, petals, and flowers. Press them onto the tape to create a one-of-a-kind nature bracelet! Doing this with my niece was so much fun! She was wearing her Skyler sweatshirt for the ultimate breathability, keeping us through the warmer and cooler parts of our day. Check out other daywear options here!

This is a free and fun way to encourage curiosity about nature while helping toddlers develop fine motor skills. Plus, it’s a great way to slow down and appreciate the little beauties of spring!

Our Tip: Always be mindful and respectful of other people’s property gardens. If you’re visiting a public park, stick to fallen petals or wildflowers!

See, Feel, Smell at Your Local Park

Turn a simple nature walk into a full sensory experience! Have your toddler find:

  • Something beautiful (a colorful flower, an interesting garden, or a fluffy cloud!)

  • Something textured (a smooth stone, soft grass, or rough bark!)

  • Something fragrant (flowers, herbs, or even fresh spring rain!)

Encouraging little ones to engage their senses helps strengthen their observation skills and makes time outdoors more exciting and interactive.

Our Tip: Spring whether can be unpredictable, our advice is to put your baby in some light bamboo daywear to keep them temperature regulated throughout all the fun!

Picnic Time! (Plus, Let Them Help!)

Picnics are simple, fun, and full of nostalgic charm! Grab a blanket, their favorite toy, some healthy snacks, bamboo daywear, and head outdoors for a delightful meal in nature. To make it even more engaging, let your toddler help with picnic prep, whether it’s washing fruit, packing napkins, or choosing their favorite snacks.

Our Tip: For busy moms who may not have the time to leave the house for a long period of time for whatever reason, you can even do this at home in the yard!

Gardening: Easy & Fun!

Have you ever dreamed of growing a garden alongside your baby? Now’s the time to make it happen!

Head to your local garden center such as Home Depot, and pick out seeds or small plants that your toddler can help take care of. Some toddler-friendly plants include:

  • Sunflowers (easy to grow and super fun to watch!)

  • Cherry tomatoes (little hands love picking them!)

  • Herbs like basil or mint (they smell amazing and great for cooking!)

As your plants grow, your child will feel a sense of accomplishment and learn the basics of caring for living things. Plus, it’s a great way to create a more beautiful outdoor space for your family to enjoy!

Our Tip: Get them a matching outfit such as Eliana, Sienna, Sarah, Penelope, Jordana or Donald!
